Buccaneers Sign TE Cameron Brate Off Saints’ Practice Squad

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are signing TE Cameron Brate off of the Saints’ practice squad on Tuesday, per Adam Caplan.

Brate, 24, signed on with the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent out of Harvard in May of last year. He wasn’t able to make the team’s 53-man roster, but he was later added to their practice squad for most of the season.

Tampa Bay wound up releasing him a few weeks back, which led to him signing on to the Saints’ practice squad a days ago.

In 2014, Brate appeared in five games for the Buccaneers and caught a single pass for 17 yards.
