The San Diego Chargers officially placed CB Carrington Byndom on waivers Monday and signed DT Kamal Johnson.
Byndom, 24, originally signed on with the Panthers as an undrafted free agent out of Texas back in 2014. He lasted just over a year with the team before he was waived at the start of the 2015 season.
After a brief stint with the Chargers, Byndom signed on to the Cardinals’ practice squad before returning on a future/reserve contract after the season. Arizona waived him a month ago and he signed with a few weeks later.
In 2014, Byndom appeared in three games and recorded a single tackle for the Panthers.
