Colts Worked Out 5 Players CB Dexter McDougle

According to Howard Balzer, the Indianapolis Colts brought in five players for tryouts/visits on Tuesday including CB Dexter McDougle.

The full list of tryouts for the Colts includes:

McDougle, 26, is a former third-round pick of the Jets back in 2014. The Jets waived him coming out of the preseason last year and later signed him to their practice squad. New York eventually promoted McDougle to their active roster in November.

The Eagles acquired him from the Jets in exchange for S Terrence Brooks during the preseason.

McDougle was entering the final year of his four-year, $2,863,876 contract and set to make a base salary of $705,000 for the 2017 season when the Eagles signed him to a one-year extension through the 2018 season. However, Philadelphia later reversed course and waived McDougle.

The Saints signed him to a contract last week.

In 2017, McDougle has appeared in nine games and recorded six tackles and no interceptions for the Eagles and Saints.

Hurst, 26, wound up going undrafted out of Oklahoma back in 2013 before signing on with the Bears. Hurst was unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason but was on and off of their practice squad the past three seasons.

Hurst was in the final year of his two-year, $1.110 million contract when the Bears waived him coming out of the preseason last year. Chicago did, however, bring him back in October.

In 2016, Hurst appeared in 10 games for the Bears and recorded 14 tackles, one sack, an interception and two pass defenses.
