Eagles Sign DE Steven Means To One-Year Extension

The Philadelphia Eagles announced that they have signed DE Steven Means to a one-year contract extension through the 2018 season.

Means, 26, is a former fifth-round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2013. He lasted just over a year in Tampa Bay before being waived. The Ravens later signed him to a contract before cutting him at the start of the regular season.

Means later signed on to the Texans practice back in October of 2015 and was signed off their practice squad by the Eagles a couple months later.

He was entering the final year of a three-year, $1,800,000 contract and is set to make a base salary of $690,000 this season.

In 2016, Means appeared in eight games for the Eagles and recorded three total tackles, one sack, and one forced fumble.
