Falcons Sign Fourth-Round Pick RB Devonta Freeman

The Atlanta Falcons announced the signing of fourth-round pick RB Devonta Freeman on Thursday.

The Falcons now have all but one of their draft picks under contract. The only remaining player for Atlanta is third-round pick S Dezmen Southward.

Freeman’s four-year contract is worth an estimated $2,704,424 which includes a signing bonus of $484,424, according to OverTheCap.com.

At Florida State, Freeman ran for 2,255 yards on 404 carries (5.58 YPC) and scored 30 touchdowns over the course of three seasons.

There have been some positive comments coming out of Falcons camp in recent days regarding Freeman, so he is someone to keep an eye on during the preseason as he could end up carving out a part-time role in their offense.
