Felix Jones’ Roster Spot Not In Danger

After failing his conditioning test at the start of Cowboys training camp, running back Felix Jones has nothing to worry about in terms of his roster spot, according to team owner Jerry Jones.

“That’s a ridiculous thought,” Jerry Jones snapped on KRLD-FM when asked if the running back’s roster spot was in jeopardy, via Tim MacMahon of ESPNDallas.com. “I’m not worried about him at all. From what I’ve seen out there, he’s got a chance to have a big year for us.”

According to reports, Felix has looked slower so far this preseason. With no other experienced backs behind starting running back DeMarco Murray besides Jones and an endorsement from owner Jerry Jones, it appears as though his roster spot with the Cowboys is safe.

We have Felix listed as the No. 32 best available player in our Top 50 Free Agents list.
