Trent Cole announced via this Twitter account that he’s on his way to visit with the Colts.
Previous reports had said that Cole was scheduled to meet with the Browns on Sunday and then travel to Indianapolis on Monday, so this fits with the reported plan.
Cole has already met with the Buccaneers and reportedly has interest from the 49ers and Seahawks as well.
The Eagles said that they haven’t closed the door on bringing Cole back either, so there appears to be a solid market for his services right now.
Cole, 32, recorded 52 tackles, 6.5 sacks, and three forced fumbles over the course of 15 games. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 19 outside linebacker in a 3-4 system out of 46 qualifying players.
We’ll have more updates regarding Cole and potential landing spots as the news is available.
