Free Agent OT Jake Long Visiting With Giants & Broncos

Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News reports that free agent OT Jake Long is planning to leave his meeting with the Giants Wednesday night and visit with the Broncos.

This is the third team that has set up a meeting with Long in recent days.

Rand Getlin of NFL Media is reporting that free agent OT Jake Long will visit with the Giants now that his meeting with the Falcons has concluded.

The Giants hosted Long for a visit a few months back, but the former No. 1 overall pick was said be taking his time in determining where he’ll be playing this season.

It appears as though the offensive tackle market is beginning to pick up now that we’re near the start of training camp for most teams.

Long, 30, was released by the Rams back in March in a move that cleared $8 million in cap space for St. Louis.

In 2014, Long was limited to appearing in seven games and playing a total of 449 snaps, according to Pro Football Focus. Long ultimately graded out as the No. 36 offensive tackle out of 84 qualifying players in 2014.

We have Long listed as the No. 3 player in our Top 25 Best Available Free Agents list.
