Giants Interviewing Louis Riddick For GM Job Thursday

Kimberly Jones mentions that she’s “under the impression” that the Giants will interview ESPN analyst Louis Riddick next for their GM vacancy.

Ralph Vacchiano confirms that the Giants will, in fact, be interviewing Riddick on Thursday.

As of the now, the Giants have interviewed:

  • Former Panthers GM Dave Gettleman (NFLTR)
  • Giants VP of player evaluation Marc Ross (NFLTR)

Riddick, 48, finished his playing career in 2001 and later took a job with the Redskins as a pro scout. He worked his way up to director of pro personnel before joining the Eagles as a pro scout in 2008. Riddick once again managed to work his way up to director of pro personnel in Philadelphia before he was relieved of his duties in 2013.

Riddick has spent the past few years working as an ESPN analyst.

Last year, Riddick interviewed for the 49ers’ GM vacancy before they hired Kyle Shanahan and paired him with John Lynch. Riddick was also connected to the Chiefs’ GM job, but he denied reports that he interviewed for the job.

We’ll have more regarding the Giants’ GM search as the news is available.
