Mike Garafolo confirms that the New York Giants have re-signed LB Mathias Kiwanuka to a three-year extension that will keep him with the team through the 2015 season. Kiwanuka receives a $8.5 million signing bonus and the extension is worth $21.75 million over four years.
Kiwanuka, 29, was set to become a free agent following the 2012 season, so this should allow them to turn attention to other areas of need in the coming round of the NFL Draft. Kiwanuka will most likely remain at outside linebacker were he 69 percent of the snaps last season according to Mike Clay.
