Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Giants brought in former Seahawks RB Robert Turbin for a tryout this week.
Turbin, 25, is in the final year of his four-year, $2,556,456 rookie contract that included a $456,456 signing bonus. He stands to make a base salary of $660,000 for the 2015 season.
He was waived by the Seahawks a few months ago, but Cleveland elected to claim him off of waivers. However, his time with the Browns wound up being disappointing as he fumbled twice in their Week 8 game, which led to him being waived a few days later.
The Patriots worked him out last week, but didn’t sign him to a contract.
This season, Turbin has appeared in three games and ran for 60 yards on 18 carries (3.3 YPC) to go along with two receptions for eight yards receiving.
