Jaguars DE Dante Fowler Jr Generating “Serious Interest”

Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that the Jaguars’ phones have been ringing and there is serious interest in DE Dante Fowler Jr.

According to Pelissero, the Jaguars’ asking price for Fowler has been high, but a lot of teams looking for pass rush help.

The Rams have been linked to Fowler in recent days and other teams like the Packers are believed to be in the trade market for an edge rusher.

Fowler, 24, is a former first-round pick of the Jaguars back in 2015. He is entering the final year of his four-year, $23.5 million fully guaranteed contract and is set to earn a base salary of $3,638,214 for the 2018 season.

The Jaguars declined Fowler’s fifth-year option during the offseason.

In 2018, Fowler has appeared in seven games for the Jaguars and recorded eight tackles, two sacks, a forced fumble and a recovery.
