According to Ian Rapoport, the Jaguars are promoting WR Jaydon Mickens from their practice squad to the active roster.
Mickens, 23, wound up signing on with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of Washington back in May of last year. He was waived at the start of the season and spent his rookie year on their practice squad before returning to the team on a future/reserve contract this past January.
The Raiders waived him with an injury designation coming out of the preseason and eventually cut him loose with an injury settlement.
The Jaguars signed Mickens to their practice squad last month shortly after bringing him in for a workout.
During his college career at Washington, Mickens caught 203 passes for 2,187 yards receiving and 12 touchdowns. He also rushed for 190 yards and three touchdowns over the course of four seasons and 53 games.
