Jaguars Waive LB Brooks Ellis With Left Squad Designation

The Jacksonville Jaguars officially waived LB Brooks Ellis with left squad designation on Monday.

Ellis, 23, originally signed on with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of Arkansas back in May of last year. He was waived at the start of the 2017 season and later signed on to the Jaguars’ practice squad.

Jacksonville brought Ellis back on a futures contract this past January.

During his college career at Arkansas, Ellis recorded 290 tackles, 22.5 tackles for a loss, 3.5 sacks, four interceptions with one being returned for a touchdown, two forced fumbles, two recoveries and 14 pass defenses over the course of 44 games.
