Latest On Adrian Peterson’s Appeal Hearing

Adrian Peterson’s appeal hearing has concluded on Tuesday. He wound up giving a statement in court, but did not testify, according to Ian Rapoport.

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk is reporting that the Harold Henderson has ruled that Troy Vincent must testify in Peterson’s appeal hearing about their conversations.

According to Florio, this ruling could set the stage for a settlement as this would prevent Vincent from having to testify.

NFL Players Association submitted a transcript and audiotape of conversations between Peterson and Vincent on Tuesday. Vincent allegedly said on the recording that  Peterson would get credit for “time served” and the new domestic violence policy would not be applied retroactively.

  • Mike Garafolo reports that Henderson encouraged both parties in the case to settle.
  • NFLPA lead counsel Jeffrey Kessler mentioned Peterson’s hearing will continue on Thursday, which presumably be the day Vincent testifies, per Garafolo.

Vincent was in Washington D.C. on Tuesday testifying about domestic violence. According to numerous reports, Vincent broke down while offering an emotional testimony.

The deadline for a ruling in Peterson’s case is expected to come “as soon as practicable,” according to Pro Football Talk.
