Lions Making Jim Bob Cooter Their Permanent Offensive Coordinator

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Lions are making Jim Bob Cooter their permanent offensive coordinator.

Cooter was elevated to offensive coordinator after they made the decision to fire Joe Lombardi midseason following a disastrous start to the season.

Cooter managed to stabilize the Lions’ offense and drew a great deal of praise from the team for the job he did this season, so it really shouldn’t come as a big surprise that they have giving him the job on a permanent basis, especially after they elected to keep HC Jim Caldwell.
