Ian Rapoport reports that veteran WR Mike Thomas already has three offers from NFL teams that he’s currently weighing.
- Rapoport expects him to come to a decision relatively soon.
We don’t know who these teams are, but I would speculate that the Colts and Jets could have interest.

Dave Birkett reports that the Lions have released WR Mike Thomas.
- Ian Rapoport reports that the Lions paid Thomas a the $1 million guaranteed in his contract.
Thomas, 26, was acquired from the Jaguars at last year’s trade deadline for a fifth-round pick. Thomas couldn’t gain separation from the other receivers in Lions’ training camp, despite the fact that Detroit’s receiving corps isn’t exactly the deepest unit in the league.
The good news for him is that multiple teams are in need of help at receiver, so there’s a chance that he could find some interest in the next few weeks.
