It’s looking more and more like left guard Logan Mankins will be sitting out for the 2010 season. The Patriots recently traded for Quinn Ojinnaka who they are hoping can fill in the former Pro Bowler.
There has been very little communication between the two parties and the Patriots haven’t shown any signs of even wanting to negotiate with Mankins. The team has barely kept Brady’s contract talks alive and has let a numerous amount of veteran players walk in previous years. Ian Rapoport of the Boston Herald reports that sources close Mankins have said that the situation will carry into the season and that there is a strong possibility of him holding out for the entire year.
