Malcolm Jenkins Would Like To Re-Sign With Eagles To A Long-Term Extension

Eagles FS Malcolm Jenkins said that he would like to re-sign with Philadelphia to remain with the team on a long-term basis.

Believe me, I’m waiting. I’m trying to get in line just like everybody else,” Jenkins on SiriusXM Radio, per Jeff McLane. “That’s something I can’t control. But I’m definitely interested in staying. I want to be in Philly long-term.”

Jenkins, 28, has one-year remaining on a three-year, $15.5 million contract he signed in 2014 and is set to earn $5 million next season.

In 2015, Jenkins finished as a Pro Bowl alternate after gathering career highs with 110 total tackles and three forced fumbles, while also appearing in all 16 games for two interceptions and 10 pass defenses.

Pro Football Focus ranked Jenkins as the No. 1 overall safety in their end of the year rating system.

We will provide more information regarding Jenkins and the Eagles as the news becomes available.
