  • Jaguars GM Dave Caldwell said that Chad Henne will open the season as team’s starting quarterback over Blake Bortles.
  • A few teams have Fresno State QB Derek Carr rated as the No. 1 quarterback in the draft. (Albert Breer)
  • Virginia OT Morgan Moses and Nevada OL Joel Bitonio could be targets for the Bills at No. 41 overall. (WGR 550 Buffalo)

  • The Lions were active in trade talks to move up and down in round one, but ultimately remained at No. 10 and selected UNC TE Eric Ebron. (Detroit Free Press)

  • “A handful of teams” had Clemson WR Sammy Watkins rated as the No. 1 player on their draft boards. (Adam Schefter)
  • The Seahawks were reportedly targeting Florida DT Dominique Easley, but wound up trading out of round one after the Patriots took him at No. 29 (Ian Rapoport)
  • The 49ers were interested in trading up for LSU WR Odell Beckham Jr, but the asking prevent them from making the move up. (Eric Branch)
  • The Vikings traded into round one for Louisville QB Teddy Bridgewater in part because they will have an opportunity to keep him under team control for five years. (Ed Werder)
  • The Vikings tried to trade up to No. 22, but they weren’t close to the Browns offer. (Albert Breer)
  • The Vikings were reportedly motivated to remain ahead of the Titans so they could get UCLA OLB Anthony Barr. (Albert Breer)
