Cowboys QB Tony Romo will go through his first contact practice this afternoon since undergoing back surgery several months ago.

We anticipate him practicing and going through practice as normal, going through individual period and group and then taking the reps with the first unit,’’ HC Jason Garrett said, via the Dallas Morning News.

Giants

  • Fourth-round pick RB Andre Williams could open the season as the Giants’ goal-line back. (Newark Star-Ledger)
  • WR/KR Trindon Holliday dropped a few passes during his first week with the Giants and the quarterbacks reportedly “had trouble connecting with him on some routes because of his size.” (Newark Star-Ledger)
