According to Bill Huber of Packer Report, Green Bay is promoting rookie WR Geronimo Allison to their active roster on Monday.
- The Packers also promoted CB Jermaine Whitehead to their active roster, according to Rob Demovsky.
Allison will take the roster spot of WR Jared Abbredaris, who was placed on injured reserve today with an injury.
Allison, 22, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of Illinois back in May. However, he was unfortunately waived coming out of the preseason before later signed on to the Packers’ practice squad.
During his two years at Illinois, Allison caught 106 passes for 1,480 yards receiving (14.0 YPR) and eight touchdowns.
