Panthers Hosting CB Charles Tillman For A Visit Wednesday

The Carolina Panthers are hosting former Bears CB Charles Tillman for a visit on Wednesday, according to a number of ESPN reporters.

  • Ian Rapoport mentions that Tillman’s visit with the Panthers will take place on Thursday.

There is an obvious connection between the Panthers and Tillman given that Ron Rivera spent time with the Bears as their assistant HC/secondary coach.

Carolina tried to sign CB Alan Ball to an agreement in recent weeks, but he ultimately signed on with the Bears.

This is the first reported interest in Tillman since free agency got underway close to a month ago.

Tillman, 34 in February, unfortunately suffered a torn triceps back in September and was subsequently placed on season-ending injured reserve.

He finished the 2014 season with eight tackles and a pass defense over the course of two games.

We have Tillman listed as the No. 100 player in our Top 100 Free Agents list.
