The Los Angeles Rams announced Tuesday that they’ve activated CB Troy Hill from the suspended list now that he’s finished serving his two-game suspension for violating NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse.
- The Rams also waived CB Kevin Peterson and released OLB Cassanova McKinzy from their practice squad.
Hill, 26, originally signed on with the Bengals as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon back in May of 2015. He was unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason but later signed on to their practice squad.
Hill had a brief stint with the Patriots in 2015 before he was claimed off of waivers by the Rams. The Rams cut Hill loose just a few day after he was arrested for a DUI and inactive for the following game.
He’s set to make a base salary of $615,000 for the 2017 season.
In 2016, Hill appeared in 12 games and recorded 40 tackles, no interceptions and two pass defenses for the Rams. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 102 cornerback out of 111 qualifying players.
