Rams Signing RB Lance Dunbar To One-Year Deal Worth Up To $3M

Adam Caplan reports that the Rams have agreed to a one-year contract worth up to $3 million with RB Lance Dunbar.

Dunbar was visiting with Los Angeles on Wednesday and it appears as though the Rams were able to hammer out an an agreement before he left town.

Dunbar, 27, signed on with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of North Texas back in 2012. After playing out his rookie contract, Dunbar signed a one-year, $1.542 million contract with the Cowboys as a restricted free agent in April of 2015.

However, Dunbar’s 2015 season, unfortunately, came to an end after he sustained a torn ACL while returning a kick a month into the season. The Cowboys elected to bring him back on a one-year, $1.25 million contract last year.

In 2016, Dunbar appeared in 13 games for the Cowboys and rushed for 31 yards on nine carries (3.4 YPC) to go along with 16 receptions for 122 yards receiving and a touchdown. He also added 32 kick return yards.
