Ravens Have “Considerable Interest” In Western Michigan WR Corey Davis

Aaron Wilson, citing league sources, reports that the Ravens have “considerable interest” in Western Michigan WR Corey Davis, who is considered to be one of their stronger options at No. 16 overall.

The Ravens were one five pre-draft visits Davis took in recent weeks along with the Titans, Eagles, Browns and Cardinals.

Davis recently told Jenna Laine that he met with 12 teams at the combine and his ankle is about 85 percent right now. Although, Davis did add expects to be ready for the start of training camp.

A few months ago, Davis suffered an ankle injury while training, which led to him missing the Scouting Combine.

Some have wondered if Davis’ inability to work out for teams could impact his draft status, but it still appears likely that he’ll hear his name called on Thursday.

Davis is one of 22 players who will be in attendance for this year’s draft in Philadelphia.

Davis, 22, is widely considered to be a first-round talent and one of the top receivers in this year’s draft class. He was the MAC Offensive Player of the Year this past season. During his four years at Western Michigan, Davis caught 331 passes for 5,278 yards receiving (15.9 YPR) to go along with 52 touchdowns.

We have him being selected by the Ravens in the First Round of our 2017 NFL Mock Draft.
