Ravens & ILB C.J. Mosley Have Had Recent Contract Talks

Sources have told Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic that the Ravens and the agent for ILB C.J. Mosley have had recent contract talks and there’s hope that they’ll be able to get a long-term extension in place before the start of free agency.

Zrebiec notes that it would cost the Ravens over $15 million to franchise Mosley.

Mosley, 26, is a former first-round pick of the Ravens back in 2014. He played out the final year of his four-year, $8,788,002 rookie contract before the Ravens picked up his fifth-year option last year.

Mosley made a base salary of $8,718,000 for the 2018 season and is now in line to be an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

In 2018, Mosley appeared in 15 games for the Ravens and recorded 105 tackles, a half sack, an interception and five pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 22 receiver out of 93 qualifying players.

We have him featured in our Top 50 – 2019 NFL Free Agents list.

We’ll have more regarding Mosley and the Ravens as the news is available.
