The Washington Redskins officially placed rookie LB Steven Daniels on their injured reserve list Tuesday after he passed through waivers unclaimed.
Daniels, 23, was taken in the seventh-round of this year’s NFL draft. He signed a four-year, $2.581 million rookie contract with the Redskins that included a $77,296 signing bonus.
Washington placed him on waivers Monday with an injury designation.
During his four-year college career at Boston College, Daniels recorded 266 tackles, 10.5 sacks, a forced fumble, three recoveries, three interceptions and four pass defenses.
