Redskins Sign WR Matt Hazel To Practice Squad

The Washington Redskins announced that they’ve signed WR Matt Hazel to their practice squad on Tuesday.

The Redskins’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. OT Isaiah Williams
  2. WR Kendal Thompson
  3. TE Wes Saxton
  4. RB Mack Brown
  5. C Ronald Patrick
  6. DB Tye Smith
  7. DT Joey Mbu
  8. DT A.J. Francis
  9. LB Carlos Fields
  10. WR Matt Hazel

Hazel, 24, is a former the sixth-round pick of the Dolphins back in 2014. He spent his rookie season on the Dolphins’ practice squad but managed to make the 53-man roster last year.

The Dolphins brought him back on an exclusive rights deal back in April but he was unfortunately cut loose coming out of the preseason. The Bills later signed Hazel to their practice squad but he lasted just a month in Buffalo.

In 2015, Hazel was active for five games but didn’t record a single statistic.
