Report: Cardinals Sign CB Antoine Cason

Kent Somers reports that the Cardinals have agreed to a one-year deal with former Chargers’ CB Antoine Cason.

The Miami Dolphins are also reported to have interest in Cason, but they apparently backed off in recent days.

Arizona has been working to rebuild their secondary after they cut veteran S Adrian Wilson and CB William Gay before the start of free agency. Since then, they’ve added S Yeremiah
Bell, CB Jerraud Powers and re-signed S Rashad Johnson.

According to Pro Football Focus, Cason struggled mightily last season. He was actually rated as one of the worst qualifying cornerbacks by PFF.

The Cardinals must see a player who was used poorly and comes with a reasonable price tag.
