  • Todd Archer of ESPN Dallas reported Sunday that Weeden had a visit scheduled with the Cowboys on Monday.

Weeden, 30, was taken with the No. 22 overall pick during the 2012 NFL Draft, but last just two years with the Browns before they cut him loose earlier in the week.

The Cowboys still aren’t sure about the status of backup Kyle Orton, but according to Todd Archer, they believe he’s leaning towards playing next season rather than retire from the NFL.
