Report: Giants Will Not Be On Hard Knocks This Year, Other Teams Volunteered

Bart Hubbach of the New York Post reports that the Giants will not be featured on HBO’s Hark Knocks this year.

According to Hubbach, a “handful” of teams have already volunteered to be featured on the show, and NFL is still in the process of deciding which team they will go with.

A recent report mentioned that the Bears, Steelers and Giants were the three finalists for the show, but it appears as though this report was way off.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell recently told reporters on that “several” teams were interested in being featured on HBO’s Hard Knocks this year.

There are several clubs that are interested in doing this. I just don’t have an update on which club, whether it’s going to be a volunteer or if it’s somebody who is going to have to fulfill the obligation. But I’m sure that decision will be made pretty soon.”

If teams have volunteered to be on the show, it prevents the NFL from forcing a club to participate.

The list of teams that could have been forced to appear on Hard Knocks includes: BearsBills, Cardinals, Giants, Jaguars, Raiders, Rams and Steelers.
