ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Texas A&M QB Johnny Manziel is flying to Oakland to meet with the Raiders tonight and into Monday.
Manziel recently visited with the New England Patriots as well. Several teams will bring prospects in for visits, so this doesn’t come as a huge surprise.
Manziel’s draft stock appears to be improving after a solid Pro Day. There are several teams in the top-ten who could all use a quarterback including the Vikings, Browns, Jaguars, Raiders and Texans.
The Vikings recently met with him and the Browns are expected to bring him in for a visit at some point in the next few weeks. The Buccaneers have also shown some interest in quarterback prospects as well, so they can’t be ruled out.
Even though the Raiders traded for veteran QB Matt Schaub, they are still expected to come away from the draft with a quarterback. Terrelle Pryor appeared to be on the outs in Oakland, which means they can bring someone in to develop.
