Report: NFL Teams Removing Georgia OLB Jarvis Jones From Their Draft Boards Due To Injury Concerns

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reports that a league source has informed him that “multiple teams” have “red flagged” Georgia OLB Jarvis Jones due to concerns relating his spinal stenosis.

Florio adds that some teams have removed him from their boards and others will not take consider taking him in the first round.

Some scouts have questioned whether or not he’s even a first-round talent, even without the obvious injury concerns.

Jones started his college career in USC back in 2009, but suffered the spinal stenosis injury forced the USC medical staff to prevent him from returning to the field. He then transferred to Georgia and put together a solid college career for them.

There’s a reasonable chance that we could see him fall into the middle round much like DE Da’Quan Bowers did a few years ago. We have Jones being taken by the Saints in the first-round of 2013 NFL Mock Draft.
