Report: Texans Signing OLB Quentin Groves

 

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reports that the Texans are also signing OLB Quentin Groves to a contract.

• Houston reported signed OLB Lawrence Sidbury to a contract as well, so they are clearly looking add depth at outside linebacker.

Groves has worked out for a number of teams including the Jets, Titans, Redskins and Patriots since becoming a free agent.

Groves, 30, spent the 2013 season with the Browns, before being released in early June. However, he was limited to playing in just five games due to an ankle injury that led to the Browns placing him on season-ending injury reserve.

Last year, he recorded four tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble over the course of those four games.
