Free agent G Richie Incognito mentioned that his agent is continuing to look for NFL opportunities and they have actually had “some nibbles.”

Incognito made it clear that despite his hope of signing on with an NFL team, he’s not taking any chances that could future opportunities.

“I’m not talking until I get picked up,” said Incognito, via Josh Peter of USA Today. “I’m standing pat on that.”

Incognito was at the center of the bullying scandal involving Jonathan Martin that led to Martin leaving the team indefinitely last year. Miami has since added four new starters to their offensive line and sent Martin to the San Francisco 49ers.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell appears to be open to Incognito reviving his NFL career.

“I would say that the one person who has been very responsive in going through the program has been Richie Incognito,” Goodell said last week, via the Newark Star-Ledger. “We’re working with his people and monitoring his progress on that front.

Incognito, 30, appeared in eight games last season before he was suspended indefinitely. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 24 guard in the league last year, and an above average player in both run and pass-blocking.
