Saints Designating FB John Kuhn To Return From Injured Reserve

Josh Katzenstein is reporting that the Saints are designating veteran FB John Kuhn to return from injured reserve on Wednesday.

This officially opens a three-week window of time for the Saints to add him to their active roster or he’ll spend the duration of the 2017 season on injured reserve.

Kuhn, 34, originally signed on with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent out of Shippensburg back in 2005. He’s spent nine of his 10 years in the NFL with the Packers before he signed a one-year, $985,000 contract with the Saints back in August of last year.

New Orleans brought him back on another one-year contract this offseason before cutting him loose coming out of the preseason only to bring him back a few days later. He had been on and off of the Saints’ roster this season before he was placed on injured reserve back in September.

In 2017, Kuhn has appeared in two games and rushed for two yards on one carry.
