Herbie Teope reports that the Saints have signed DT Ashaad Mabry to their practice squad on Wednesday.
The Saints’ practice squad now consists of:
- G John Fullington
- WR Jake Lampman
- DE Bobby Richardson
- TE Garrett Griffin
- FB Austin Johnson
- C Jack Allen
- DB Brian Dixon
- DB Taveze Calhoun
- WR Jordan Williams
- DT Ashaad Mabry
Mabry, 23, wound up signing on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Texas-San Antonio back in May of last year. He was unfortunately unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but was later signed to the Saints’ practice squad a few days later.
New Orleans elected to bring him back on a future/reserve contract this past January, but elected to waive him on Monday.
Mabry has yet to appear in an NFL game.
