Saints Have Made Several Calls About Possibly Trading Up In Round 1

According to Ian Rapoport, the Saints have made “plenty of calls” about the possibility of trading up in round one from No. 27 overall.

Rapoport admits that this could just be due diligence in case a particular player begins to fall such as a quarterback, but the Saints are reportedly “well-prepared” to move up tonight.

There has been some buzz about the Saints and Louisville QB Lamar Jackson in recent weeks, and there are several teams reportedly interested in moving down including the Ravens, Lions, Seahawks and Falcons, depending on how far a team like New Orleans would be interested in moving up.

In total, the Saints have eight draft picks that they could use to move up for a player.

We’ll have more regarding a potential trade involving the Saints as the news is available.
