Saints Sign 5 Players Including Khalif Barnes, Clay Harbor & Josh LeRibeus, Cut Four

The New Orleans Saints officially signed G Josh LeRibeus, TE Trey Edmunds, OL Khalif Barnes, TE Clay Harbor and G Drew Iddings to contracts on Monday.

The Saints also placed WR Ahmad Fulwood, DB Anthony Gaitor, OT Andrew Lauderdale, and G Clint Van Horn on waivers.

Barnes, 35, is a former second-round pick by the Jaguars of the 2005 NFL Draft. He spent four years with Jacksonville before signing with the Raiders in 2009.

After seven years in Oakland, Barnes signed a one-year contract with the Saints late in the preseason. Unfortunately, he was among their final roster cuts close to a month ago.

Barnes was on and off of the Saints’ roster several times last season before the team eventually moved on in November.

In 2015, Barnes appeared in 14 games for the Raiders but was limited to playing just 118 snaps.

Harbor, 29, was taken in the fourth-round of the 2010 NFL draft by the Eagles. He lasted three years in Philadelphia before signing on with the Jaguars in 2013. Harbor later signed on with the Patriots back in March of last year but was released at the start of the season.

The Lions signed Harbor to a one-year deal one day after the Patriots released him.

In 2016, Harbor appeared in three games for the Lions and recorded three receptions for 19 yards.
