Seahawks Cut Five Including LB Paul Dawson, Sign Five Tryout Players

The Seattle Seahawks announced Monday that they’ve waived five players including WR Ka’Raun White, WR Taj Williams, LB Jason Hall, LB Paul Dawson and C Brad Lundblade.

The Seahawks also signed five tryout players including WR Damore’ea Stringfellow, S Tevon Mutcherson, C Marcus Henry, OT Nick Callender and OT Avery Young.

Dawson, 25, is a former third-round pick of Bengals back in 2015. He was in the second year of his four-year, $2.896 million contract when the Bengals waived him at the start of the 2016 season and later signed him to their practice squad.

Dawson was on and off of the Bengals’ practice squad before catching on with the Seahawks in November of last year. Seattle declined to tender Dawson a restricted offer, making him an unrestricted free agent before re-signing him a month ago.

In 2017, Dawson appeared in three games for the Seahawks and recorded three tackles.
