According to Wilson, the Texans are expected to “investigate the feasibility of a potential fit” with Ivory in the coming days.
There a number of notable running backs available this year, but it appears as though Ivory has a solid market developing for his services.
Ivory, 27, played out his three-year, $10 million deal with the Jets and will be among the best available running backs in this year’s free agent class.
In 2015, Ivory appeared in 15 games for the Jets and ran for 1,070 yards on 247 carries (4.3 YPC) to go along with 30 receptions for 217 yards receiving and eight total touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 11 running back out of 69 qualifying players.
We have him featured in our Top 100 – 2016 Free Agents list.
