Titans DC Dean Pees Returning For 2019 Season

On Friday, the Titans announced that defensive coordinator Dean Pees has informed the team he plans to return for the 2019 season.

Pees had a health issue during the season in which he was transported to an Indianapolis hospital for a night to get tests done. However, Pees returned to Nashville the following day and didn’t miss a game the remainder of the season.

Pees, 68, began his NFL coaching career with the Patriots back in 2004 as their linebackers coach. He worked his way up to defensive coordinator before joining the Ravens in 2010.

Baltimore promoted him to their defensive coordinator in 2012 and he remained in charge of their defense for six seasons. The Titans hired Pees as their defensive coordinator last year.

In 2018, the Titans’ defense is No. 8 in yards allowed, No. 3 in points allowed, No. 18 in rushings yards allowed and No. 6 in yards allowed.
