Titans Waiving QB Alex Tanney, RB Khalfani Muhammad & DL Johnny Maxie

The Tennessee Titans are placing QB Alex Tanney on waivers Monday, according to Terry McCormick.

  • Jason Wolf adds that the Titans are also waiving  RB Khalfani Muhammad and DL Johnny Maxie.

Tanney said goodbye to the Titans on Twitter, implying he’s been released.

Tanney, 30, originally signed on with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of Monmouth back in 2012. Since then, he’s had brief stints with the Cowboys, Browns, Buccaneers, Titans, Bills and Colts before being signed to the Titans’ active roster at end of the 2015 season.

Tanney spent time on the Titans’ practice squad before eventually being called up.

In 2015, Tanney appeared in one game for the Titans and completed 10 of 14 pass attempts for 99 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions.
