Vikings G Alex Boone Carted To Locker Room With Hip Injury

Vikings veteran G Alex Boone was carted to the locker room during Sunday’s game against the Panthers with a hip injury.

He’s currently listed as questions to return.

The Vikings have already lost LT Matt Kalil for an extended period of time, so this is something to monitor moving forward.

Boone, 29, signed a four-year, $26.8 million contract that includes $10 million guaranteed with the Vikings as a free agent this past March. Boone stands to make a base salary of $1.6 million this year and then $6.6. million base salaries over the remainder of the contract.

Entering today’s game, Boone has appeared in two games and is rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 48 offensive tackle out of 68 qualifying players.

We’ll have more regarding Boone’s injury as the news is available.
