NFL Notes: Browns, Chargers, Eagles, & Texans

Browns

New Browns HCย Hue Jacksonย said that he doesn’t have plans to hire an offensive coordinator.

โ€œRight now in my mind, I donโ€™t really plan on having an offensive coordinator โ€˜cause I want to reserve that right to call plays,โ€ Jackson said on aย Sirius XM Radio appearance, via Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal.

โ€œI think thatโ€™s something thatโ€™s gotten me this job. So if itโ€™s something that youโ€™re an expert at, I think you want to continue to work at that and keep that in your pocket so you can use it to help your team. Now if I get somebody I really trust who has that [expertise], then obviously Iโ€™m very willing to kind of give that away as we go, but itโ€™s got to be somebody I really trust and admire.โ€
