Former Lions WR Titus Young Arrested For Assault With Deadly Weapon, Could Face 4 Years In Prison

TMZ Sportsย is reporting that former Lions WRย Titus Young wasย arrested in Los Angeles for assault with a deadly weapon after allegedly beating up a guy in a street fight.

According to the report obtained by TMZ,ย Young caused “serious bodily injury” to the man in the fight that occurred back onย January 30th.

TMZ adds that if Young were to beย convicted for this charge, could face aย four-year prison sentence.

Young, 26, was a former second-round pick of the Lions back in 2011. He lasted just two years with the team before he was ultimately waivedย in February of 2013.

There’s no question that his NFL career is over, considering that he has had numerous off-the-field issues since entering the league.

Young’s most recent arrest took place in July of 2014 when heย taken into custodyย forย battery and causingย serious bodily injury. Before that,ย Young was arrested 3 times in one week in for DUI.

Hopefully Young gets the help he needs is able to turn things around at some point.
