Garrett is just the latest Browns’ player to be added to the list. Cleveland sent Garrett home out of an abundance of caution as he was sick, but this move means that he’ll miss Sunday’s game.
The COVID-19 list was created this summer for a player who either tests positive for or who has been quarantined after having been in close contact with an infected person or persons.
Players will remain on the list until they are medically cleared to return.
Garrett, 24, is a former first-round pick of the Browns back in 2017. He just finished the third year of his four-year, $30.4 million fully guaranteed contract and was set to make a base salary of $4.61 million for the 2020 season when he agreed to a five-year extension worth $125 million with the Browns.
In 2020, Garrett has appeared in nine games for the Browns and recorded 31 tackles, 9.5 sacks, four forced fumbles and two recoveries.
