49ers Have Shown “A Lot Of Interest” In Cowboys DT Terrell McClain

Brandon George of the Dallas Morning News reports that the Cowboys are likely to lose DT Terrell McClain in free agency, as he is generating interest from multiple teams.

According to George, the 49ers have shown “a lot of interest” in McClain up to this point.

Jane Slater of NFL Media previously reported that the market for McCalin was “rising” with the Falcons, Redskins and Seahawks among the interested teams in him.

McClain, 28, is a former third-round pick of the Panthers back in 2011. He lasted just over a year in Carolina before he was waived at the start of the 2012 season and later signed by the Patriots.

McClain later caught on with the Texans and spent two years in Houston before the Cowboys signed him to a three-year contract in 2014.

Last year, McClain appeared in 15 games for the Cowboys and recorded 40 tackles, 2.5 sacks and two forced fumbles. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 86 interior defensive lineman out of 127 qualifying players.

We’ll have more regarding McClain as the news is available.
