49ers Sign DB Tyree Robinson From Cowboys’ Practice Squad

According to Cam Inman, the 49ers have signed DB Tyree Robinson off of the Cowboys’ practice squad and to a two-year contract.

  • The 49ers also signed TE Marcus Lucas to their taxi squad.

Robinson, 24, wound up signing on with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon back in May. He was in the first year of his three-year, $1.71 million contract and set to make a base salary of $485,000 for the 2018 season when the Cowboys waived him and signed him to their practice squad.

During his four-year college career at Oregon, Robinson recorded 201 tackles, 5.5 tackles for a loss, two sacks, six interceptions with two being returned for touchdowns, 17 pass defenses and four fumble recoveries over the course of 52 games.
